Busy week but tennis Eagles keep rolling

GILFORD It was an eventful week for the Gilford High School boys' tennis team. The three-time defending state champions kept their incredible winning streak alive, as they captured three matches last week to improve to a perfect 7-0 in Division III entering school vacation. The week came to a close with an 8-1 win over Inter-Lakes in a rematch of last year's D-III championship. The match of the day came at fourth singles, where Tyler Hanf outlasted I-L's Liam Donohoe in a tiebreaker. Hanf shot out of a cannon in the breaker, scoring the first six points en route to a 9-8 (7-1) win in a back-and-forth affair....more>
