Northern Pass offers property tax valuation floor to selectmen

DUMMER — Three representatives of the proposed Northern Pass Transmission project — community relations expert Kathleen Lewis, engineering manager Sam Johnson, and North Country liaison Scott Mason — spent about an hour on Tuesday evening, Sept. 22, at the board of selectmen's meeting discussing details of the 8.9-mile overhead route through town. 

"Ride the Wilds" returns Cos County Job Creation grant

COLEBROOK — The Board of Directors of the North Country OHRV Coalition (NCOHRVC), best known for being the umbrella organization under which the Cos County "Ride the Wilds" trail system was created, recently voted to decline the funds that were awarded by the Cos County Job Creation Association (CCJCA), announced on Aug. 28 at a celebratory reception at the Mountain View Grand. Spartans soccer girls win rematch against Mohawks

COLEBROOK — The White Mountains girls' soccer team settled a score against Colebrook on Sept. 29, winning the game 6-1, bumping their standings to nine wins and two losses. The first Spartan goal came at 12:30 by Kaitlyn Nelson with an assist from Alex Curtis. Colebrook's Brooke Lawson answered back at 39:00 to tie the game. ...more>
