Dan Gorham leaves GHS for Colebrook

GORHAM –Gorham Middle High School Assistant Principal Dan Gorham is leaving at the end of the school year to take a principal position at the Colebrook Elementary School.

"I'm sad about leaving," he said, but "it will be a good challenge and career move. I'm really looking forward to it."

Gorham said he's aspired to become a principal. The 1980 GHS graduate and Gorham native taught health and physical education at Berlin High School for six years, before taking the number two position at his high school Alma mater five years ago. Prior to that, he was the town of Gorham's Recreation Director. Gorham also was an assistant soccer coach for a college in New York. He holds degrees from Plymouth State University and Indiana University.

Gorham has two children a son who recently graduated from Duke University and a daughter who is a senior at GHS. Colebrook Elementary School is Kindergarten to 8th grade. Gorham will relocate to the Colebrook area.
