Superintendent Kent Hemingway announced recently that Oyster River School District's former Director of Instruction, Danielle Bolduc, has accepted the nomination as Gilford Elementary's new Principal.

"I have an uncompromising view that all students can succeed, given a positive learning atmosphere," said Bolduc.

Since 2009, Bolduc has served as Director of Instruction and Learning for the Oyster River School District. For the 10 years prior to that, she was the District Technology Integration Administrator.

According to Hemingway, Bolduc is regarded as one of the leading technology educators and innovators in New Hampshire.

"She possesses deep knowledge of curriculum, instruction, and assessment, and has initiated many creative programs at all grade levels in the Oyster River Schools," stated Hemingway.

Bolduc actively participated on the Board of the NH Society for Technology for 15 years, and was President of NHSTE from 2000 to 2001.

According to Hemingway, the GES Search Committee visited the Mast Way Elementary School, where Bolduc worked closely with teachers for many years, and also served as interim principal for a short time.

"The staff, students and parents provided our team with stellar examples of her collaborative skills, direct curriculum and instruction support, and a vision of growth to incorporate the most meaningful educational practices," stated Hemingway.

Bolduc received her Education Specialist degree in administration and supervision from UNH in 2011, her Master's of Education from Plymouth State University in 1998, and a Bachelor's of Science in Business Education degree from PSU in 1991.

With 12 years experience in school administration, Bolduc said she was confident and excited to work with in the Gilford district.

"I am enthusiastic and prepared to contribute my administrative experience to Gilford Elementary School," said Bolduc.

According to Bolduc, she worked previously in the same school district with GMS Principal Marcia Ross, and knew future GHS Principal Peter Sawyer from her time as Business Teacher at Winnisquam Regional High School.

Bolduc begins her contract with Gilford on July 1, but will participate in Leadership Team and other administrative responsibilities as part of her transition as time allows.

"I feel so fortunate to be the new Gilford Elementary School Principal," said Bolduc. "I can't wait to meet the students."
