Barnstead police seek help in locating missing man

POLICE are looking for help in locating Paul Barnet of Barnstead.

BARNSTEAD — On Dec. 13, members of the Barnstead Police Department responded to a report of a missing person in the Locke Lake Colony area. Family members informed officers that Paul Barnet had not been seen or heard from since Tuesday, Dec. 6. Officers were informed that Barnet lives in Locke Lake Colony by himself and may have wandered from his residence.

Officers checked the residence, the extended property and the neighborhood, but were unable to locate Barnet. Neighbors were contacted, at which time officers were informed that Mr. Barnet was last seen on Saturday, Dec. 10, while he was working in his yard.

Barnet is described as a 54-year-old white male, approximately five feet, nine inches and 160 lbs., with long brown hair (usually in a pony tail), a beard and brown eyes. Family members stated he may be walking with a cane and wearing his favorite denim jacket with a patch on the back.

The Barnstead Police Department is requesting assistance in locating and checking the well being of Barnet. If he is located, citizens are requested to call the police department at 269-4281.
