Authorities seeking information on Plymouth homicide

September 09, 2011
PLYMOUTH — Attorney General Michael A. Delaney, New Hampshire State Police Col. Robert Quinn, and Plymouth Police Chief Steven Temperino announce that they are investigating the homicide of John Labbe (age 54) in Plymouth.

Labbe was found deceased in a building on his 761 Texas Hill Rd., Plymouth property on Sept. 8. Dr. Thomas Andrew, Chief Medical Examiner, conducted an autopsy on Mr. Labbe today, and ruled the manner of death a homicide as the result of gunshot wounds.

During an interview with WMUR News 9 Friday evening, a friend of Labbe's identifying himself only as "Jimmy" revealed that he discovered Labbe's body in a shed on the property when he stopped by to discuss an upcoming woodworking project with Labbe.

"Jimmy" said that upon entering the shed, which was dead-bolted from the outside, he saw Labbe's body lying on the floor and initially thought he had injured his head and fallen until a closer look revealed a shell casing lying nearby.

Anyone with information about Mr. Labbe's actions on Sept. 6 through 8 is asked to contact the New Hampshire State Police at 271-3636.
