Rape charges Grand Jury docket

LANCASTER — A Texas man was charged with three counts of aggravated felonious sexual assault for allegedly raping a woman in Carroll in August. The Coös Grand Jury indicted Mounic Acheddad, 31 of McAllen, Texas at their Oct. 4 session. Mr. Acheddad is accused of using force, and later coercion, to have intercourse with a 23-year-old woman over the course of two separate days in August.
The Grand Jury also indicted Jacob Marshall, 18 of Northumberland, on charges of aggravated felonious sexual assault and felonious sexual assault. He is accused of performing sexual acts on and eliciting sexual acts from a child under the age of 13.
Eric Briggs, 20 of Whitefield, was indicted on two charges of burglary, one charge of attempted burglary and one charge of theft by unauthorized taking. He is accused of breaking into residences in Lancaster and Dalton on August 6, and stealing a car from one of the homes.
In a related case, Brittany Stinson, 19 of Whitefield, is accused of acting as accomplice to Mr. Briggs during the theft of the car. She was indicted on a single count of criminal liability for the conduct of another.
Bruce Tardiff, 45 of Berlin, was indicted on a charge of burglary and a second charge of receiving stolen property. He is accused of entering the old Converse-Bass shoe factory on Jericho Road in Berlin on April 24. Mr. Tardiff was also allegedly in possession of stolen items belonging to Richard Lapointe on May 13. Among the items were various power tools and hand tools with a collective value of more than $500.
A Groveton woman has been indicted on a single count if theft by deception for allegedly stealing $7,000. Katie Bailey, 25 of Groveton, is accused of taking the money from Bank of America by creating the false impression that she was authorized to use the account.
Joshua Torbin, 22 of Derry, faces two counts of reckless conduct, one of criminal threatening and a misdemeanor charge of disorderly conduct as a result of a July 16 incident in Carroll. Mr. Torbin was indicted on the four charges for allegedly cocking a .40 pistol while near two men, and brandishing the gun at one of the men while engaging in loud and disruptive language at Ammonoosuc Campground.
Craig Leblanc, 24 of Gorham, was indicted on a charge of receiving stolen property. He is accused of receiving a stolen WalMart gift card with a value of $74, on Feb. 5, after having been convicted of two class A misdemeanor theft charges in Gorham District Court in Sept. 2004.
A Berlin man required to register as a sex offender is accused of moving without informing police. Leon Smith, 30 of Berlin, was indicted for failure of duty to inform after he allegedly failed to notify police of his new residence in July. He was required to make the notification within five days.
Four area residents were indicted on drug charges.
Timothy Haycock, 28, and Chastity Haycock, 30, both of Groveton, were indicted on charges of possession of a narcotic and possession of a controlled drug with intent to distribute. Each is accused of being in possession of less than one ounce of marijuana on Aug. 20 in Groveton. They are also alleged to have been in possession of the prescription drug Alprazolam (Xanax).
Robert Dowland, 45 of Groveton, was indicted on a single charge of possession of a controlled drug with intent to distribute. He is accused of having more than one ounce but less than five pounds of marijuana in Groveton on May 21.
Candy Hudon, 33 of Berlin, was indicted on two charges of possession of a controlled drug. Ms. Hudon is accused of being in possession of the prescription drugs oxycodone and clonazepam in Gorham on May 14.
All of the above cases were scheduled for arraignment on Oct. 14.
