GUILDHALL, Vt. — Authorities are searching for a Concord, man who disappeared last week while on trial for sexually assaulting a child. He was last seen in Twin Mountain, N.H.

An arrest warrant was issued for Frank Fellows, 37, after he failed to appear for the third day of his trial in Essex County Court. "He took off during day two of the trial and we haven't seen him since," said State's Attorney Vincent Illuzzi.

The trial proceeded without Mr. Fellows and, on Sept. 23, a jury convicted him of sexual assault on a minor and lewd and lascivious conduct with a child. He faces prison time of three years-to-life on the sexual assault charge and two-to-15 years on the lewd conduct conviction, according to Mr. Illuzzi.

Authorities believe Mr. Fellows was last seen in Twin Mountain in the early morning hours of Sept. 22.

The warrant for Mr. Fellows' arrest was issued after the verdict, with bail set at $250,000. The State of Vermont sent the warrant out nationwide on Monday, Sept. 27, and is prepared to extradite Mr. Fellows if he is taken into custody in another state, Mr. Illuzzi said. Anyone with any information regarding the whereabouts of Fellows is asked to contact the Vermont State Police at (802) 748-3111 or Northeast Kingdom Crime Stoppers at (802) 748-2222.
