BERLIN — A Berlin woman died after she was hit by a truck while crossing Mason Street on Monday evening.
57-year-old Patricia Boucher was transported by helicopter to Dartmouth-Hitchcock hospital, but she did not survive her injuries.
Berlin Police Lt. Richard McClure identified the driver of the truck as Roland Glover, 57, also of Berlin.
The incident is still under investigation, he said, but it appeared Mr. Glover was turning left from Pleasant Street onto Mason Street when the accident occurred. No charges had been filed.
The accident happened at 5:20 p.m. Shortly after police shut Mason Street down between Pleasant and Main and had out tape measures and cones marking the scene.
Lt. Richard McClure said several witnesses had come forward, but the investigation is still open.
