WOLFEBORO — The first five winners of the Wolfe Hunt contest were drawn last Saturday, July 31, at the Wolfeboro Area Chamber of Commerce office by Wolfeboro 250th Committee member Tom Beeler.

The object of the Wolfe Hunt is to find the official 250th Anniversary logo on display in participating businesses and you are on your way to winning one of many prizes.

The Hunt is scheduled to run through Oct. 11. Anyone can participate by picking up a Wolfe Hunt contest card at the Wolfeboro Area Chamber of Commerce Information Center, located in the former railroad station. Along with the contest card you will receive a free Wolfeboro 250th Anniversary removable decal. The decal is the Hunt logo, which can be found somewhere in the premises of the 54 Wolfeboro businesses listed on the card. To complete the card you only need to visit at least 15 of the 54. Once you have found the logo, ask to have your card initialed by a staff person.

Once you have found the logo and had your card initialed at 15 businesses, return the completed Wolfe Hunt card to the Chamber Information Center. You will be entered to win one-of-a-kind Wolfeboro 250th Anniversary prizes. A total of five cards will be drawn each month in July, August, September and October. Monthly prize winners will also be eligible for the grand prize.

You do not need to be present at the drawing to win. Winners are notified by phone or e-mail.

The first five winners, drawn on July 31, were: Laura Mock, who won a jute bag with Wolfeboro 250th Anniversary logo; Connie Jones, who won a t-shirt with Wolfeboro 250th Anniversary logo; Adam & Kevin O'Rourke, who won a copy of the just-published Wolfeboro 250th anniversary commemorative book; Kim A. Valente, who won a Wolfeboro 250th Anniversary flag created by Flags Over Winnipesaukee; and Beverly A. Goodrich, who won a Wolfeboro 250th Anniversary pewter ornament created by Hampshire Pewter.
