Two Groveton women indicted for theft and forgery

LANCASTER — Two local women were indicted by a Cos Grand Jury on July 19, on numerous felony charges of theft and forgery.

Katie Bailey, 25 of Groveton, was indicted on two charges of forgery and five counts of theft by deception. Ms. Bailey is suspected of taking more than $20,000 from an elderly neighbor. She is alleged to have forged checks totaling $9,000 from a Northway Bank account belonging to Lurline Hapgood in January and February of this year. She is also accused of obtaining more than $14,000 from a Bank of America account in March, by creating a false impression that she was authorized to use the account.

Ann Marie Redfern, 40 of Groveton, is accused of stealing more than $1,000 from Kevin Sheehy. She was indicted on one count of theft by unauthorized taking and 11 counts of forgery. She is alleged to have issued 11 checks totaling $3,190 to herself from Mr. Sheehy's account at Passumpsic Savings Bank in March and April of this year.

Timothy Demers, 45 of Stark, was indicted on two counts of felonious sexual assault. He is alleged to have engaged in sexual contact with a child under the age of 13, between Aug. 30 and Sept. 1, 2008. Mr. Demers is accused of groping a 10-year-old girl.

An armed home invasion in Milan on Dec. 18 resulted in the indictment of a local man on multiple charges. Patrick Hickey, 34 of Milan, was indicted on two felony charges of burglary, a charge of felony criminal threatening. He also faces misdemeanor charges of simple assault and criminal mischief. He is alleged to have broken into the apartment of Bridgette Cusson, and threatened to shoot or kill her while loading a rifle. Mr. Hickey is accused of causing damage to the door while gaining access, as well as breaking Ms. Cusson's cell phone and assaulting her.

Shelby Allen, 21 of Berlin, was indicted on a charge of possession of a controlled drug. She is accused of being in possession of the drug Xanax in Berlin on May 25.

Rickey Bailey, 38 of Groveton, is accused of running away from officers while being placed under arrest on June 10 in Groveton, while he was free on bail for another offense. He was indicted on a single charge of felony escape.

Brexton Boudle, 26 of Colebrook, was indicted on a charge of possession of a controlled drug. He is alleged to have been in possession of the drug Suboxone on Feb. 10 in Colebrook.

Devin Buckley, 17 of Dummer, is accused of stealing 13 Compaq computers from the Enriched Learning Center in Berlin on May 17. He was indicted on one charge of theft by unauthorized taking and one count of burglary.

In a related case, Christopher Garneau, 17 of Dummer, was indicted on a single charge of receiving stolen property. He is alleged to have received the computers Mr. Buckley is accused of stealing.

A Berlin woman is accused of stealing from the Gorham Burger King. Kayla Correau, 23 of Berlin, was indicted on a charge of theft by unauthorized taking. She is alleged to have taken between $500 and $1,000 while employed by the restaurant, by taking money from the customers but not putting it in the cash drawer.

In a related case, Cody Morin, 19 of Berlin, was indicted on a charge of criminal liability for the conduct of another. He is alleged to have acted as an accomplice to Ms. Correau in the thefts from Burger King.

Gabriel Figueroa, 53 of Littleton, was indicted on a charge of criminal threatening. He is accused of pointing a 1088 pellet pistol at Tracy Labelle, on June 10 in Berlin, and threatening to shoot her.

Nicholas Dube, 27 of Rochester, is accused of breaking into a Berlin apartment on Oct. 30 and assaulting the residents. He was indicted on a single felony charge of burglary. He was also charged with misdemeanor counts of criminal mischief, criminal trespass and two counts of simple assault. He is alleged to have broken into the Fourth Avenue apartment of Ciara Reid, breaking a door and then assaulting Ms. Reid and Jason Thomas.

Dale Hodgkins, 17 of Boscawen, was indicted on a single charge of theft by unauthorized taking. He is accused of taking a Chevy S-10 Blazer owned by Linda Breen, from Twin Mountain in May.

Justin Kenison, 29 of Lancaster, was indicted on a charge of theft by unauthorized taking and a second charge of receiving stolen property. He is alleged to have taken a Motorola radio owned by the town of Dalton from a Dalton Fire Department vehicle. The radio is valued at more than $1,000.

Richard Lutz, 25 of Gorham, is accused of being in possession of Vicodin on March 5 in Gorham. He was indicted on a single charge of possession of a controlled drug.

Robert McCabe, 44 of Gorham, was indicted on two counts of second-degree assault, for allegedly striking a woman in Berlin on Nov. 8, causing her to lose consciousness and sustain a black eye and head injury.

David Sillanpaa, 61 of Colebrook, was indicted on charges of robbery and criminal threatening. He is accused of stealing a Kodak camera belonging to Robert Brooks while brandishing a .22 caliber rifle on June 12 in Colebrook.

Nina Villanave, 30 of Berlin, was indicted on a single charge of forgery. She is accused of cashing a fraudulent check for $150 at Berlin Mills Variety.

Bradley Touchette, 40 of Gorham, was indicted on a charge of driving after being certified as an habitual offender.

Arraignments in all of the above cases are scheduled for July 30, at 9 a.m.
