Fundraising group to help Tom Eastman established

Volunteers needed

July 22, 2010
A lot of fun things are planned, such as an on-going "Pink Flamingo Flocking" fundraiser starting immediately and a "Tom-A-Pah-Loosa" Party, which will be held at Cranmore on Sept. 11. Only 300 tickets will be available for this evening at a cost of $40 per person. The event will include an exceptional buffet, entertainment (to be announced), silent and live auction, raffles and a lot of fun. More information on the event will be released at a later date.

There are many people in the Mount Washington Valley who want to help Tom. The Committee will have a website address up soon through the MWV Chamber that people will be able to access for information and updates. A group has been set up on Facebook for the Tom Eastman Relief Fun and supporters are encouraged to join the group to stay informed. In the meantime, anyone who would like to be involved in preparing and planning the fundraiser, there are many committees available that could use help.

Some of the committees include Site Committee, Marketing and Media, Entertainment, Silent and Live Auction, Food, Ticket Sales and Distribution, Website Management, Volunteer Registration and Coordinating, and much help is needed for the "Pink Flamingo Flocking," a fun fundraising concept that is sure to be popular. Email donna@fairpoint.net with contact information and someone will be in touch right away.

Thank you to Terry O'Brien, Wally Campbell, and the Valley Originals who have already stepped up to the plate in a huge way, as well as the staff of Cranmore Mountain.

Let's make sure Tom knows how much Mount Washington Valley and Western Maine loves him, as well as ease some of his financial burdens created from his recent health challenges.
