Warren Police Chief suspended
July 07, 2010
WARREN—Officials in Warren confirmed Tuesday that Police Chief Warren Davis has been suspended from duty pending the outcome of an investigation by the Grafton County Sheriff's Department.
It was reported over the holiday weekend that the Warren Board of Selectmen met in emergency session on Saturday morning, July 3, and voted to remove the chief from his part-time position.
In his absence, Select Board Chair Michael Clark has been appointed Interim Chief of Police.
Town officials would not comment any further on the nature of the allegations against Davis.
The Sheriff's office also declined comment, except to say that a criminal investigation is underway at the request of the selectmen.
