Local man charged with possession of child pornography

WAKEFIELD — A 52-year-old East Wakefield man was charged Tuesday on 10 counts of possession of child pornography. He was also charged with possession and manufacture of a controlled drug.
The arrest is the result of a joint investigation between the Carroll County Sheriff's Office, members of the New Hampshire Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force and the Wakefield Police Department.
According to a statement released late Tuesday by Sheriff Christopher Conley and Wakefield Police Chief Ken Fifield, Matthew D. Sizemore of 104 Burley Park Road was arrested after a police and task force members executed a search warrant on his residence.
The search warrant was the result of an investigation into Possession of Child Pornography, RSA649-A.
The New Hampshire Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force is made up of several law enforcement agencies around New Hampshire that came together in the late 1990's to combat the rise of crimes against children that involve computers and other digital devices. The Carroll County Sheriff's Office has been involved with the task force since 1999. Computers at the residence were seized pursuant to the warrant. Additionally Sizemore was arrested at the scene by the Wakefield police for manufacturing and possession of illegal drugs. Sizemore's bail was set at $25,000 cash on these charges and he was bailed from the Carroll County House of Corrections on June 6.
On June 9 an additional arrest warrant was issued for 10 counts of Possession of Child Pornography. Matthew Sizemore was arrested on those charges and bail is set at $50,000 cash.
Police indicated that additional information about the case would be available Wednesday afternoon (after the newspaper's presstime).
