EPPING After a pair of tough losses in a row, all eyes were on the Winnisquam Regional High School football team's road trip to the Seacoast on Saturday.

Behind three rushing touchdowns from junior tailback Christian Serrano, the Bears got back on the winning side of things. Winnisquam never trailed in a dominating 43-12 victory over Epping-Newmarket in Division III South Conference action.

Serrano rushed for 137 yards on just 11 carries, finding paydirt three times for the Bears. He also added a 68-yard kickoff return touchdown to open up the third quarter as Winnisquam pulled away in the second half.

His 67-yard rushing touchdown late in the second quarter had Winnisquam up 21-6 at intermission, and the Bears scored 22 points in the third period to put this one out of reach.

Greg Hunt threw a pair of second half touchdown passes, as he completed four of his five tosses for 55 yards on the day. Hunt hit Tim Harmon on a 19-yard TD and followed that up with a 23-yard touchdown to Matthew McHugh to extend the lead to 43-6. E-N scored the only touchdown of the fourth quarter to account for the final score.

Hunt added 65 yards rushing on three carries in the win and Brendon Vaughn totaled 34 yards on seven carries. Harmon (two catches), Cody Varney and McHugh all hauled in receptions.

Next up for the Bears (4-2 overall) is a huge home game against defending D-III state champion Bow, the last remaining unbeaten team at 6-0. Kickoff is slated for 1:30 p.m. at the Route 132 Field on Saturday.
