TILTON Other than a pair of tight losses to undefeated White Mountains, things have gone pretty well for the Winnisquam Regional High School softball team entering this week's slate of action.

The Bears ripped off seven straight wins in between the losses to the Spartans, including a 4-2 victory over Prospect Mountain in action on May 7.

Junior pitcher Allie Trowsdale got the win over the Timberwolves, as she tossed all seven innings while striking out three and allowing four hits and five walks. PM scored both runs in the top of the seventh, but Trowsdale managed to escape further trouble when she got a foul out to third and a groundout to short to end the game with the bases loaded.

Alyssa Clogston was a perfect 3-for-3 at the plate with a run scored, while Rachel Willcutt chipped in two hits and a run in the win. Marissa DeBlasie scored two runs and clubbed a double while Kendra Lonergan had an RBI for Winnisquam as well.

The Bears led 1-0 with a run in the bottom of the first, and the hosts added three more in the third for a 4-0 lead that held up until the final stanza.

Winnisquam entered the week 7-2 overall in Division III, and the Bears have games against Franklin, Belmont and Mascoma on this week's docket.
