Man killed in officer-involved Thornton shooting

THORNTON — The New Hampshire Attorney General's office is investigating an officer-involved shooting in Thornton that resulted in a man's death.

Ethan Freeman, age 37, was shot twice in the chest when police responded to an incident at 66 Four Wheel Drive Monday, Oct. 19. No officers or other private citizens were injured during the incident, and authorities reported Tuesday that there was no threat to the public.

In keeping with protocol, the identity of the officer who fired on Freeman is being withheld from publication pending a formal interview with the Attorney General's office.

No further information concerning the shooting had been made available as of our press deadline for this week's edition.
