Man shot by Meredith police officer

MEREDITH — A man was shot and killed by Meredith Police after an incident on Bennett Drive.

On Monday, the New Hampshire Attorney General's Office reported an officer involved shooting in Meredith.

The AG's office stated that 35-year-old David Donovan was shot by a Meredith Police Officer at 10 Bennett Drive in Meredith on Sunday. He was transported to Lakes Region General Hospital where he died from his injuries. An autopsy was scheduled for Monday.

The AG's office said three other people were injured on the scene before police arrived, though did not provide further details. One of them was an adult male who was transported to the hospital and was listed in stable condition as of press time.

The AG's office said no officers were injured and there is no threat to the public. The officer's name is being withheld until after a formal review.

The incident remains under investigation and more information will be released as the investigation continues.
