BELMONT Braving the cold and wind, the Inter-Lakes High School track and field team saw strong performances on April 29. The Lakers finished in second place on both the boys' and girls' sides behind Somersworth High School in a meet hosted at Belmont High School.

I-L had several event winners on the afternoon, with Charlotte Morrow capturing the high jump and Cam Daly claiming wins in both the 800 and 1,600 meters. The boys' 4x400 team was also victorious, with Daly, Trevor Colby, Ryan Welch and Johnny Cox comprising the quartet of runners.

Colby was a top three finisher in both the 400 and 800 to score point for the Lakers, while Nick Galietta was a top three performer in both the shot put and discus. Courtney Burrell was solid in both the 800 and 1,600 meters, while Ella Flanders (triple jump), Amanda Kurowski (100 hurdles), Morrow (400 meters) and the girls' 4x400 relay squad of Flanders, Morrow, Maegan Bunnell and Natalie Duffield all snagged top three slots.
