KRHS student tests positive for Covid-19

October 15, 2020
WOLFEBORO — Families of students in the Governor Wentworth Regional High School received a letter on Monday, Oct. 12 from Superintendent Kathy Cuddy-Egbert announcing that a high school student has tested positive for Covid-19. Therefore, the high school was closed for Tuesday and Wednesday to allow time for contact tracing.

Cuddy-Egbert wrote that all the other schools would remain open, "as we have determined that no students outside of the high school has been in close contact with this student."

Follow up with the superintendent revealed that remote classes would take place while the contact tracing was completed. "So far we are doing the contract tracing because DHHS (Department of Health and Human Services) is overwhelmed, " she wrote on Tuesday, " However, it is going well and quickly and we will have a list for DHHS soon. We will be calling each family to advise them to self-quarantine and to wait for further instructions from DHHS."
