WOLFEBORO — By the end of the filing period for public offices on Friday, Feb. 1, there were candidates for all open positions, but in only one of those was their more than one candidate.

In the race for a three-year term as Wolfeboro selectmen, incumbent Chuck Storm will face off against Brad Harriman on March 12. Storm is running for a second term as selectman; Harriman is new to public office in Wolfeboro, though he has served for years as the Director of Public Works in Ossipee for many years.

In all but one of the remaining positions incumbents are running for re-election. The exception is that Paul O'Brien is running for a three-year term on the planning board for a seat currently held by David DeVries. DeVries did not file for re-election.

Kathy Barnard, current Chairman of the planning board, did file for re-election to a three-year term.

On the Budget Committee, Frank Giebutowski, Matt Krause and Bob Tougher are running for re-election to three-year terms.

Ron Goodgame is running for re-election as Police Commissioner for three years and John Burt is up for re-election as Treasurer for a one-year term.

Linda Matchett has filed for re-election to a three-year term as Library Trustee and Dick Shurtleff is running for another three-year term as a Trustee of Trust Funds.
