M&M Deli owners open new restaurant

April 17, 2019
OSSIPEE — The Wooden Spoon restaurant is set to open today (April 18) in Ossipee.

Having developed a faithful following of locals and visitors to the area, the popular M & M Deli and Grille on Route 16 in Ossipee had outgrown its location on Route 16, and the lease was up.

At the same time, the owners of Lynnski's Restaurant on Route 25 East (next to Abbott and Staples store) were ready to sell, after seven years in business.

The timing worked out perfectly for both, and now Mike and Michele (M & M) will re-open the former Lynnski's location as The Wooden Spoon. The expanded space means they will nearly double the seating space and have a much larger kitchen for preparing their homestyle menu offerings.

The restaurant will be open for breakfast and lunch Wednesday through Saturday from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. and for breakfast on Sundays, 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. After Memorial Day, it will also be open Tuesdays. Takeout is available and there's a kid's menu for the youngsters.

In addition to daily specials, The Wooden Spoon offers an extensive menu and portions are generous. Create your own omelet or choose one of the favorites including the meat lovers filled with bacon, ham and sausage or a spinach and feta-packed Greek omelet. Eggs Benedict more to your liking? Check out the menus "Benny Section" where you will find several choices including the West Coast (poached eggs, avocado, bacon, tomato or salsa piled on an English muffin and topped with Hollandaise sauce) or the Classic with Canadian bacon. The breakfast menu includes the expected choices – waffles, pancakes, eggs, fruits and meats – as well as plenty of breakfast burrito and sandwich options.

Lunch includes an exhaustive list of sandwiches, burgers, salads and sides, with plenty of opportunity to "go with what you know" or try something new like the popular "peanut butter jalapeno bacon cheddar burger".
