Serious car crash in Ossipee under investigation

OSSIPEE On Monday, July 7, at approximately 1:23 p.m. the Ossipee Police Department requested the assistance of the New Hampshire State Police Troop E and Collision Analysis & Reconstruction (CAR) Unit at the scene of a serious motor vehicle crash on Route 16.

Members of the Reconstruction Unit as well as troopers assigned to the Troop E Barracks in Tamworth responded to assist.

The crash involved two vehicles and occurred in the area of Green Mountain Furniture. Based on the initial investigation, it appears that a 2002 Saab 9-3 operated by Brittini Desrosiers, 21, of Center Ossipee was traveling south on Route 16 in the area of Green Mountain Furniture. At the same time a 2005 Hyundia Sonata operated by Pamela Beaupre, 55, of Ossipee was traveling north. Also in this vehicle was a front passenger, Janet Harring, 60, of Ossipee.

Just in front of Green Mountain Furniture the 2002 Saab drifted into the northbound lane and struck the 2005 Hyundai nearly head-on. Desrosiers was transported to Huggins Hospital in Wolfeboro. Beaupres and Harring were also transported to Huggins Hospital in Wolfeboro. Desrosiers was treated at Huggins Hospital then transported to Massachusetts General Hospital with serious injuries for further treatment.
