OSSIPEE — With a mission of showing God's love through meeting a practical need, the student ministry at First Congregational Church in Ossipee has found a unique way to help the community.

In a partnership with Bill's Laundry on Route 25, Ossipee Loads of Love meets the second Saturday of every month at the Laundromat to help people do their laundry. For anyone that wishes to participate, just show up and bring your laundry. Participants will be allowed to use the washers and dryers free of charge, will receive free laundry soap and dryer sheets and will even receive free snacks and drinks while they wait for their laundry to cycle.

The ministry's goal is not to preach to anyone but rather to relieve the financial burden of doing laundry while making this oft boring task "kind of fun".

The next Ossipee Loads of Laundry event is being held from 10 a.m. to noon on Saturday, Jan. 11 at Bill's Laundry which is located next to Abbott's and Staples on Route 25 East. For the future, the free laundry day will be the second Saturday of every month.
