BERLIN — The Berlin Board of Education has announced dates to close out the school year. On Monday and Tuesday, May 25 and 26, there will be no school due to Memorial Day. June 3 has been slated for the last day of learning for all students. Pick up and drop off dates for returns and other materials will take place the following two days after school ends.

May 22 will be the last day to assign new assignments and final exams. May 28-June 3 will be set aside for student make up work.

Superintendent Julie King said, "We plan to continue meal delivery after school is finished. More details will follow."

She added, "Planning for graduation and end of year awards ceremonies are in the process. Details will be released by the schools when planning is complete. Thank you for your flexibility and patience and enjoy these last few weeks of the 2019-2020 school year."

Schools across the state have been closed and remote learning has become the new norm as a way to stop the spread of the novel coronavirus. This new format began in the middle of March and the upcoming school year is still in question as far as how it will unfold.
