Robots from Kingswood and PMHS continue to battle

ST. LOUIS, Mo. — After one day of battling robots, the teams from Kingswood Regional High School and Prospect Mountain High School have their work cut out for them.

Team 319, also known as "Big Bad Bob" finished the action on Thursday with a 2-3 record and is currently ranked 52nd out of 100 teams. The next match is on Friday at 10:06 a.m. (Match 87), followed by matches at 1:30 p.m. (Match 111), 3:36 p.m. (Match 132) and 5:12 p.m. (Match 148) They finish up with one match on Saturday at 9:09 a.m. (Match 160).

Team 4925 from Kingswood, also known as the "The Resistance," finished with a 1-3 record after the first day, and is currently ranked 87th out of 100 teams. The team picked up its first win by a score of 151-106 in first match on Thursday. The next match is on Friday at 9:30 a.m. (Match 81), with additional matches at 11:06 a.m. (Match 97), 11:54 a.m. (Match 105), 2:30 p.m. (Match 121) and 5:18 p.m. (Match 149). They wrap up the qualifying round with one match on Saturday at 9:33 a.m. (Match 164).

The scoreboard indicates which match is being played. In Thursday's action the matches were about 10 minutes behind throughout the day.

After the qualifying matches on Saturday, the top eight teams will draft their teammates to compete in the quarterfinal matches.
