Three arrested in Alton robbery

ALTON — Three arrests were made in connection to the robbery of a clerk at the Village Store attempting to make a night deposit on Wednesday, Nov. 28.

Katrina Williams was mugged while trying to make the night deposit at TD Bank on Main Street shortly after 10 p.m. on Nov. 28. Williams that got into a physical altercation with one of robbers, Justin Louis Lavalley, while attempting to get back the stolen property.

A total of $1,122.85 was stolen from Williams on that evening, and she immediately went and filed a police report with the Alton Police Department.

As a result of the investigation by the APD, three arrest warrants were issued in the case, and on Dec. 9, Lavalley, 25 of Gonic, and Brett Stranger, 21, of Alton, were arrested.

Lavalley was charged with robbery, second-degree assault and conspiracy to commit robbery. He is currently being held on $30,000 cash bail with a probable cause hearing set for Dec. 17 in Laconia District Court, and Stranger was charged with criminal liability for conduct of another. He is currently out on personnel recognizance bail with an arraignment date of Jan. 17 in Laconia District Court.

Scott Prior, 25, of Alton, was picked up by the Manchester Police Department on Monday, Dec. 10, and Alton Police brought him back to Alton that day for processing. Prior was charged with robbery and conspiracy to commit robbery. Prior was arraigned in Laconia District Court on Tuesday, Dec. 11, and is being held on $25,000 cash bail.

Additionally, Prior was out on bail for charges for theft (Class A felony over a $1,500 value) and operating a vehicle after suspension (second offense) from a previous case in Alton.

The APD will continue with its investigation into this case because the department has information that two or more additional suspects aided in the planning of this violent crime.
