Two subdivisions come before B'stead board

BARNSTEAD — The Barnstead Planning Board approved a minor subdivision, held a conceptual consultation and held a site plan review during its meeting on Thursday, Oct. 2.

The board met with Dorothy Policrhonopoulos about a subdivision. The board gave her many suggestions, including a recommendation to come back before the board with more information before the subdivision could be approved.

The board approved a site plan review proposed by Russell and Kristi Atherton of 490 South Barnstead Road to open a butcher shop in town.

The approval is pending approval from the fire department, the health officer and the building inspector.

The board unanimously approved a minor subdivision proposed by Edward and Susan Mello of 279 New Road.

There was some discussion by board members about a pump house and permits required near Locke Lake. The board reviewed the driveway permit process and the site plan review checklist.

The board approved the minutes from the Sept. 6 and Sept. 20 meetings.

The next scheduled meeting of the Barnstead Planning Board is on Thursday, Oct. 18, at the Barnstead Town Hall.
