Large roster provides Raiders plenty of options

BELMONT With 24 players on his roster, Belmont High School boys' soccer coach Mike Foley hopes competition at practice every day will be fierce this fall. The veteran Red Raider head man lost just two starters from last year's squad, and his big numbers will hopefully keep players hungry for playing time. "I had a team of 23 a couple years ago so you just try and find spots for kids and try and create as much competition as you can in practice," explained Foley, whose team went 10-7-1 overall last year after reaching the Division III quarterfinals.
